DESCRIPTION:

NEBIX contains Nebivolol Hydrochloride.

COMPOSITION:

NEBIX range is available for oral administration. 1. NEBIX 2.5mg tablets: Each film coated tablet contains Nebivolol (as HCl) 2.5mg. 2. NEBIX 5mg tablets: Each film coated tablet contains Nebivolol (as HCl) 5mg. 3. NEBIX 10mg tablets: Each film coated tablet contains Nebivolol (as HCl) 10mg.

INDICATIONS:

NEBIX is indicated for the treatment of hypertension & treatment of stable mild and moderate chronic heart failure.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:

Hypertension: The starting dose of NEBIX is 5mg once daily in most patients preferably at the same time of the day. Individualize to the need of the patient for up-titration with two weeks interval. NEBIX can be taken with or without food. Heart Failure: The initial up-titration should be done according to the following steps at 1-2 weekly intervals based on patient tolerability: NEBIX1.25 mg to be increased to 2.5 mg once daily, then to 5 mg once daily and then to 10 mg once daily. The maximum recommended dose is 10 mg nebivolol once daily.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Nebivolol is contraindicated in severe bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, patients with cardiogenic shock, decompensated cardiac failure, sick sinus syndrome (unless a permanent pacemaker is in place), patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh >B) and hypersensitive to any component of this product.

PRESENTATION:

NEBIX 2.5mg, NEBIX 5mg & NEBIX 10mg, each film coated tablet contains Nebivolol Hydrochloride 2.5mg, 5mg & 10mg respectively, all are available in Alu-Alu Blister pack of 14’s.

PREGNANCY & LACTATION:

NEBIX should not be used during pregnancy and in lactating mothers.

Patients should consult with their physician before taking any medicine.
